Overview

In this role you will provide support for front and back office applications in a fintech environment, working with development teams to resolve issues and implement changes. You will handle patching, data import/export, error monitoring, and troubleshooting across MS SQL, MySQL, and data warehousing contexts. The role blends production support with development tasks to improve business workflows and integrations. You will operate in a 3rd line capacity, escalating to vendors when needed, and contribute to change and release processes. A strong focus on data and application reliability at scale will define your impact.

Responsibilities
  • Provide 3rd line technical support and maintenance for in-house and out-of-box applications
  • Maintain MySQL and T-SQL databases and perform complex troubleshooting
  • Enhance integrations and improve business workflows across applications
  • Patch, upgrade, and monitor systems; manage data imports/exports
  • Collaborate with development teams to resolve issues and implement fixes
  • Participate in change and release management
  • Support data warehousing activities and migrations
  • Work on ad hoc projects related to application and database support
Key requirements
  • 3 years commercial experience in Application Support or Database Administration
  • PHP 5 OOP
  • MySQL 5
  • Centos/Redhat
  • Windows Server 2008/2012
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2008/2012/2014
  • FIX messaging for trading applications
