Solutions Architect - Tier 1 Bank - Canary Wharf

Role - Application Architect

Duration - 6 months with very likely extension

Location - Hybrid / Canary Wharf - 3 days per week in a Canary Wharf office

Rate - £600 per day (Inside IR35)

Experience -

  • In depth understanding of Object Orientated programming concepts as well as of the full Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Good understanding of MS .NET Framework environments.
  • Knowledge and experience of Agile methodology
  • Knowledge of Cloud and AI technologies that can be adopted into the workplace
  • Extensive experience working as a software and solutions architect.
  • Experience in designing of high-level concepts for software solutions.
  • Experience in development of Azure cloud-based as well as on-prem solutions.
  • DevOps and SCRUM experience
  • Experience in Cloud migration planning and execution

Tasks -

  • Create and improve architectural standards for on premise and azure cloud software products, develop cloud migration procedures and guidelines.
  • Assist in cloud migration projects, assess readiness and dependencies, optimize for the Cloud.
  • Create and review blueprints for software products, provide guidance on improving architecture.
  • Coding mission critical parts and performing code reviews.
  • Assist on integrating AI technologies to improve existing systems.
  • Ensure that applications are in line with compliance and regulatory standards and conduct regular security assessments of these applications.
  • Technical writing (creating related documentation)
  • Assist developers with any architecture related issues and queries.
