Overview

In this Application Architect role, you translate client needs into cloud-based solutions and drive architectural assessments, technology choices, and estimates. You design, oversee, and mentor a cross-functional team focused on delivering high-quality, innovative software on Microsoft Azure. You lead solution design, API/microservice implementation, and DevOps-enabled development, shaping standards and best practices. You partner with clients and stakeholders to ensure solutions meet performance goals and strategic objectives, delivering tangible value in larger programmes and proofs of value.

Responsibilities
  • Translate client needs into effective solutions
  • Support envisioning and architectural assessments
  • Guide technology choice and provide accurate estimates
  • Define and drive solutions to meet performance needs
  • Oversee and manage a cross-functional development team
  • Coach, mentor, and motivate team members
  • Recommend changes in development and system standards
  • Develop custom applications in C#/.Net and Microsoft Azure
  • Develop integration services and APIs
  • Leverage cloud technologies and DevOps practices
  • Create conceptual architecture and solution design materials
  • Use AI tools (GitHub Copilot) to support architecture analysis and proof of value projects
  • Lead development of solutions to meet client specifications
  • Implement APIs and Microservices, integrating with external systems
  • Support Solution Architects with design and estimation of opportunities
