Application Engineer

In this role you provide technical expertise across the sales process for EMEA, translating customer needs into practical product solutions. You support opportunities and manage technical projects from enquiry to delivery, collaborating with Design Engineering and cross-functional teams to ensure successful outcomes. You develop engineered, cost-effective solutions and handle technical inquiries and documentation. The position combines onsite work with remote flexibility, and involves travel to support customers and project delivery.

• Translate customer requirements into engineering solutions (engineered/standard/modified designs)
• Perform technical calculations to verify solution suitability
• Collaborate with Design Engineering to meet specs and quality requirements
• Develop cost-effective solutions supporting profitable growth
• Address technical questions from customers, distributors, and colleagues
• Coordinate with Enerpac technical teams for timely delivery
• Prepare proposals, quotations, and technical specifications
• Support commercial teams and build relationships with customers across EMEA
• Act as technical contact for Service Centres and provide aftersales support
• Coordinate projects end-to-end from enquiry to delivery and ensure documentation

• Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering
• At least five years of relevant experience in application engineering or customer-facing engineering
• Experience in industrial/OEM/manufacturing environment
• Ability to read 2D/3D drawings and perform engineering calculations
• Knowledge of design standards and technical documentation
• Project coordination or project management capability
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Willingness to travel ~25% (domestic and international)
