Overview

In this role you will design and deliver Angular-based client onboarding experiences, backed by cloud-native AWS services, to support Vanguard Europe’s growth. You will collaborate with product, design, and a globally distributed team to create seamless, multi-channel journeys from prospecting to account setup. You’ll leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery and improve quality, while owning features end-to-end. This is a hands-on, product-focused engineering role that shapes onboarding platforms across Europe.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and deliver Angular applications powering client onboarding journeys
  • Build and maintain cloud-native AWS services (Aurora Postgres, S3, EC2)
  • Utilize AI tools (Claude, Copilot) to accelerate delivery and quality
  • Integrate APIs and third-party services for cross-channel experiences
  • Write well-tested, maintainable code with strong automated tests
  • Collaborate with a globally distributed team on design, code reviews, and architectural decisions
  • Translate business requirements with product owners into technical solutions
  • Contribute to engineering practices, documentation, and continuous improvement
Key requirements
  • Strong Angular development with recent framework versions
  • Java Spring Boot experience
  • Solid AWS knowledge (serverless and managed services) including Aurora Postgres, S3, EC2
  • Node.js development experience
  • AI-first development mindset with tools like Claude or GitHub Copilot
  • Ability to own features end-to-end from design to production
  • Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, and modern version control
  • Strong communication and cross-time-zone collaboration
