Application Programmer - Mississauga, ON - Contract - $65-75 Per HR

Seeking an experienced professional for a contract position in Mississauga, ON. This role involves developing and optimizing data pipelines for financial data processing. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in backend development and be proficient in high-level programming languages and big data technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines for financial data processing.
  • Lead projects for developing batch pipeline processes for credit risk analytics.
  • Ensure efficient storage and retrieval of risk data in big data platform systems.
  • Implement best practices for performance tuning in data processing technologies.
  • Maintain code quality through testing, continuous integration, and version control.

Qualifications

  • 7 years of software development experience with at least 5 years in backend development.
  • Proficient in object-oriented programming, exception handling, and concurrency.
  • Strong SQL skills with experience in enterprise databases.
  • 3 years of experience leading software development projects.
  • Experience in financial market and credit risk enterprise software systems.
