Application Support Analyst

Overview

In this role you will support business‑critical applications and services used for client communications, ensuring reliability, security and high performance. You will work closely with developers, infrastructure and service delivery teams to build technical expertise across application support, server management and change processes. You’ll own systems over time, contribute to design and implementation, and provide guidance to colleagues and stakeholders. This is a hands‑on role with opportunities to deepen SME knowledge in a collaborative tech team.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor applications, automated workflows and server environments to maintain performance and availability
  • Investigate incidents, performance issues and error messages; identify root causes and implement solutions
  • Process client data files and support delivery of customer communications
  • Support Windows server environments, software releases, upgrades and change activities
  • Collaborate with developers, infrastructure teams and service delivery managers to resolve issues and enable new solutions
  • Contribute to disaster recovery activities, technical projects, documentation and continuous improvement initiatives
Key requirements
  • Experience in application support, technical support or IT operations
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with incident investigation and root-cause analysis
  • Knowledge of Windows Server environments, application monitoring and performance management
  • SQL querying skills and understanding of data processing concepts
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals and experience with service management or ticketing tools
  • Interest in developing specialist expertise in business-critical applications; exposure to PowerShell, IIS, ITIL practices, software deployments, change management or disaster recovery activities
