Application Support Engineer

In this role you will lead and deliver Level 2 IT support for CDSClear’s in-house trade management and risk platforms across production and test environments. You will partner with cross-functional CDSClear teams to keep non-production environments healthy and support a shifting on-call and late-shift model. You will own operational health, incident management, change governance, and disaster recovery activities to sustain service levels for clients and LSEG. You will collaborate with development and risk teams to improve release reliability and automate operations, shaping CDSClear’s stability and scalability.

- Provide hands-on Level 2 IT support for CDSClear production and UAT environments
- Lead front-to-back operational support for CDSClear applications and infrastructure
- Manage incident response including escalation, coordination, and remediation
- Own change management for CDSClear applications ensuring quality gates
- Coordinate Disaster Recovery testing and business continuity exercises
- Lead capacity and performance management with enhanced monitoring
- Maintain hands-on expertise across Unix, SQL, Control-M, web services, and networking
- Collaborate with development teams to improve release reliability and automation
- Participate in on-call and late-shift support to align with US trading hours
- Ensure operational health and SLA adherence across environments
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for daily clearing sessions
- Drive continuous improvement to production stability and efficiency
- Engage with IT risk management and information security to remediate vulnerabilities
- Support IT governance forums to prioritise enhancements
- Coordinate IT activities with business events and production schedules
- Oversee IT support workload across BAU, projects, shifts, on-call duties
- Lead IT to align with enterprise change calendar
- experience in senior IT support or SRE roles within financial services
- strong incident management and change management capabilities
- hands-on technical skills in Unix, SQL, Control-M, web services, networking
- exposure to AWS is advantageous
- ability to work across production and non-production environments
- on-call and late-shift availability
