Applications Engineer

In this role you will support Arm partners worldwide as they develop products using Arm CPU and System IP. You will provide technical guidance, training and design reviews to help integrate and optimise Arm technology in SoCs. The role blends hands-on engineering with collaboration across teams to improve partner experiences and future IP. You will work on a variety of technologies, driving impact for customers and Arm’s ecosystem. This position offers a meaningful opportunity to shape how Arm IP is used in real-world products.

• Provide timely and accurate technical guidance on Arm CPU and System IP
• Investigate technical issues with partners to identify solutions
• Develop and deliver technical training on CPU and System IP
• Review customer SoC designs incorporating Arm IP and suggest optimisations
• Collaborate with Arm IP design and product management to improve partner experience and input into future IP
• Test IP deliverables and provide feedback to design teams ahead of customer releases
• Create and maintain technical knowledge articles and application notes
• Develop tools and techniques to investigate and solve problems more efficiently

• BSc in Electrical Engineering (ECE) or equivalent
• Excellent understanding of HDL such as Verilog, SystemVerilog or VHDL
• Very good knowledge of CPU architecture principles and SoC design principles
• Knowledge of System Coherency concepts
• Ability to use RTL simulation tools for debugging purposes
• Questasim, Verdi, Cadence Simvision, Xcelium
• Ability to work with remote teams
