Applications Engineer PLL Performance Optimization

Optimize PLL performance at SiTime as an Applications Engineer, using Python scripting and laboratory equipment across wireless and datacenter markets.

This Applications Engineer works with system architects, validation engineers, and applications engineering colleagues. The focus is configuring SiTime timing devices and improving PLL performance through lab work, customized scripting, and cross-functional collaboration. You will also support customer technical needs and product introductions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Optimize performance of SiTime PLL devices
• Automate laboratory routines using Python scripting
• Support customer questions, schematic reviews, and technical debugging
• Capture data for customer and engineering investigations
• Develop New Product Introduction collateral and verification materials

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or similar
• Coursework in circuit analysis
• Understanding of frequency-domain signals, Bode plots, FFTs, and spectrum analysis
• Experience with oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and function generators
• Knowledge of PLL architecture and transmission-line effects
