Overview

In this Architect Data Center role, you design and oversee architectural aspects of data centre and mission-critical projects within HDR’s multidisciplinary teams across the UK and Europe. You translate requirements into technical solutions, produce reports and specifications, and guide projects with limited supervision. You collaborate with clients, contractors, and specialists to deliver high-quality, scalable infrastructure aligned with HDR’s collaborative, employee-owned culture. You’ll contribute to sustainable design considerations and drive effective, cross-functional outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and apply architectural techniques with minor adaptations
  • Tackle assignments with clear objectives and limited variable investigation
  • Follow instructions on complex features and possible solutions
  • Work with direction but with limited design responsibility
  • Prepare reports and specifications on architectural matters
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and contractors
  • Perform additional duties as needed
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or closely related field
  • Registered Architect (ARB)
  • 3-5 years practical experience
  • Proficient in Autodesk Revit and related tools
  • Strong leadership, communication and relationship management skills
  • Analytical and critical thinking
  • Team-oriented with good self-organisation and ability to multi-task under deadlines
