Architecture Director - Data Centres

As Architecture Director, you will lead a portfolio of Data Centre projects, guiding architectural and engineering delivery and upholding quality, technical and commercial standards. You will build and nurture key client relationships, support bids, and help identify future opportunities within the data centre sector. This role oversees multiple projects across the UK, Ireland and Europe, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and ensuring timely, compliant delivery. You will shape sector strategy and mentor project teams, with a strong emphasis on governance and risk management.

• Lead Designer / Consultant across a portfolio of Data Centre projects
• Coordinate discipline leads for Architecture and Engineering deliverables
• Provide technical and design leadership throughout delivery
• Lead commercial and technical bids for multidisciplinary opportunities
• Support pricing and commercial delivery to meet fees and margins
• Maintain and develop client and stakeholder relationships
• Present to existing and prospective clients
• Identify opportunities for future project work and revenue growth
• Ensure internal governance, quality and risk management processes
• Oversee design activities and production of technical information
• Monitor delivery against demanding programmes and deadlines
• Support sector strategy and internal management with other Directors
• Provide leadership across multidisciplinary project teams
• Travel across the UK, Ireland and Europe as required

• Fully qualified Architect or Architectural Technologist, Chartered or equivalent
• Strong technical design background
• Recent and demonstrable experience on Data Centre projects
• Experience leading complex multidisciplinary projects
• Proven design management and coordination of multidisciplinary teams
• Strong understanding of building systems, regulations and construction types
• Experience working with different forms of building contracts
• Commercial awareness and bid/pricing/project governance experience
• Strong client-facing and relationship management skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects, competing priorities and deadlines
• Experience in a consultancy or professional services environment
• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
