Assistant Controller

Our client is seeking a solutions-focused finance professional ready to lead, improve processes, and make a tangible impact on operational effectiveness! As Assistant Controller, you will work closely with finance professionals at all levels while helping manage a dynamic team. Your responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timely completion of monthly financial reporting
• Technical accounting analysis under IFRS 15, including summarizing financial results for senior leadership
• Reviewing revenue contracts to ensure proper revenue recognition under IFRS 15
• Support process improvements, templates, and training materials in an attempt to raise the quality of revenue reporting across business units
• Reviewing work-in-progress, standalone selling price analyses and percentage-of-completion revenue calculations for project-based and service revenue
• Leading ad hoc projects that impact various stakeholders

Qualifications

The main qualifications for this role include:

• CPA designation completed or in progress
• Formal accounting education
• 3+ years’ experience in an accounting or finance environment
• Experience with IFRS 15
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Public accounting firm or SaaS experience
