Assistant Controller Accounting Operations

Strengthen accounting operations and controls as an Assistant Controller working closely with the CFO and a Financial Analyst across multiple sites.

In this Assistant Controller position, you will keep banking, accounts payable, and accounts receivable accurate while supporting close and reporting. The work includes variance analysis, tax and regulatory reporting, audit preparation, budgeting, forecasting, and special projects. You will also guide a Staff Accountant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Keep banking, accounts payable, and accounts receivable running accurately
• Act as escalation point for complex accounting questions
• Strengthen internal controls and recommend process improvements
• Prepare year-end audit materials and answer auditor requests
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and operational business partnering

Requirements:

• CPA designation or near the end
• Accounting, Finance, or related degree
• Four-plus years of progressive accounting experience
• Experience with month-end close and strong GAAP knowledge
• Supervisory or mentoring experience is an asset
