Assistant Director Operational Accounting

Lead operational accounting at iA Financial Group in Quebec or Montreal, combining hands-on leadership with banking, reconciliations, and cash flow management.

As Assistant Director, Operational Accounting, you will support, coach, and develop accounting team members. You will review journal entries, reconciliations, and analyses while overseeing banking, accounts payable, and premium collections. The role also covers IFRS, internal controls, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support, coach, and develop accounting team members
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, and accounting analyses
• Coordinate deadlines across month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close
• Manage banking relationships and complex daily banking matters
• Lead accounting operations for iA Advantages

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration
• Chartered Professional Accountant designation
• Minimum 12 years of relevant operational accounting experience
• People management experience and advanced French proficiency
• Knowledge of IFRS, auditing, taxation, and Microsoft Excel
