Overview

In this role you will support and lead complex M&A technology assignments within Deloitte’s AI-focused M&A practice. You’ll assess target AI capability, guide technology and AI integration across buy- and sell-side deals, and shape change plans that unlock value. You’ll work closely with cross‑functional teams, manage client engagements, and contribute to thought leadership and business development. This position offers hybrid working in London and exposure to high-profile, international deals within a market-leading M&A technology team.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and deliver AI due diligence engagements for Corporate and Private Equity clients, evaluating AI capability and strategic alignment
  • Onboard and manage the M&A tech team across engagements, ensuring timely, high-quality deliverables
  • Assess AI roadmaps, architecture, and data structures for scalability and business impact
  • Identify AI-driven value creation opportunities (IT synergies, cost savings, revenue from digital assets)
  • Develop AI-driven change implementation plans with linked financial benefit tracking
  • Provide day-to-day Programme Management support to fulfil project objectives
  • Engage with client senior management to drive decision making and manage risks/issues
  • Develop market-leading perspectives on technology and AI value creation within Technology functions
  • Research IT information including cost data, contracts, and licensing; report to senior executives
  • Build consulting skills in strategic thinking, programme and change management around AI development
  • Ensure quality and risk compliance with Deloitte standards; contribute to practice development and sales materials
  • Lead diverse, high-performing teams and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation
  • Support development of IT integration/separation blueprints and other transaction documents
  • Engage with stakeholders to deliver on strategic issues and outcomes
  • Mentor and develop M&A team through excellence and collaboration
Key requirements
  • Programme management experience in top-tier corporate or consulting firms
  • Experience in Technology due diligence and AI impacts
  • Knowledge of M&A process and deal lifecycle
  • Experience in financial modelling, valuation, and due diligence for M&A
  • Delivery track record in complex technology transactions and knowledge of AI, cloud, software, SaaS, and digital transformation
  • Experience leading and coaching project teams
  • Ability to drive change management and transformation initiatives
  • Strong analytical, financial, and presentation skills
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with senior audiences
  • Willingness to travel Full travel mobility
