Assistant Director - Technology M&A - Deal Technology - Strategy and Execution - EY-Parthenon

As Assistant Director, you will lead and shape IT-focused due diligence and post‑deal integration work within EY-Parthenon’s Deal Technology practice. You’ll guide cross‑functional teams to develop transaction strategies for corporate and private equity clients across sectors, leveraging IT governance, architecture and delivery expertise. The role blends advisory and execution, from pre‑deal diligence to separations and carve‑outs, with a focus on delivering tangible transaction outcomes. • Lead and contribute to pre‑deal, post‑deal, separation and integration engagements for UKI clients across sectors
• Manage blended project teams from transactions and advisory practices
• Support business origination through pitches and client presentations
• Advise on clients' readiness across people, resources, planning, data, and strategy while identifying risks and improvement areas
• Collaborate with EY Parthenon colleagues on due diligence, corporate strategy and software strategy
• Engage with client decision makers to shape and execute transaction strategies
• Develop and mentor junior staff and contribute to people initiatives
• Learn and develop technical and personal skills through coaching and structured learning

• Degree in computer science, information technology or related subjects
• Experience in IT due diligence and/or IT post‑merger integration, separation/carve‑out assignments
• Broad knowledge of IT domains (EA, IT operating model, governance, systems integration, development, service delivery, IT infrastructure, IT financials, data)
• Excellent problem‑solving and programme/project management skills
• Strong verbal and written communication and presentation abilities
• Ability to deliver high‑quality reports and client‑facing outputs
• Analytical mindset with ability to derive insights from IT aspects of transactions
• Strong leadership and mentoring of diverse teams
• Proven ability to build relationships with senior clients and influence decisions
• Flexibility with working locations and quick learning in new situations
