Assistant Director: Technology Services (EMEA & Asia)

Overview

In this role you support the Global Technology Services vision by aligning IT initiatives with firm strategy across EMEA and Asia. You will lead IT operations, improve service delivery, and drive ongoing improvements while fostering strong relationships with office leadership and practice groups. You’ll promote adoption of firm-approved technologies and AI-enabled capabilities to boost productivity. This is a leadership role at a collaborative firm focused on excellence and client service.

Responsibilities
  • Define services with the Director: Global Technology Services and set meaningful SLAs and CX measures
  • Provide leadership to IT project planning, design, development, and implementation
  • Capture stakeholder feedback to reflect the Voice of the Client in IT delivery
  • Coordinate IT projects and change initiatives aligned with global IT strategy
  • Oversee day-to-day IT support, ensuring security, performance, and user satisfaction
  • Build relationships with office leadership and business units in EMEA and Asia
  • Promote adoption of AI-enabled tools and automation to improve efficiency
  • Supervise IT support teams and foster a culture of continuous improvement
  • Support cost-effective operation and maintenance of systems and processes
  • Monitor service performance metrics, budgets, and provider performance
  • Assist in asset/configuration management and ServiceNow adoption
  • Participate in major incident coordination and post-incident reviews
  • Travel to offices to understand local needs and opportunities
  • Collaborate with global peers to standardize delivery and eliminate non-value-added activities
  • Prepare dashboards and executive updates on service levels and improvements
  • Perform other duties as required
Key requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Management or related field preferred; equivalent combination considered
  • Progressive IT experience with leadership/senior roles
  • Experience in legal or professional services environment preferred
  • Strong IT operations, service delivery, stakeholder engagement, and business alignment
  • Ability to interact professionally with executives, lawyers, and staff
  • Experience developing or improving IT policies, procedures, and service frameworks
  • Change management experience and leading operational improvements
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience managing IT operations, projects, and service delivery performance
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow, Agile/DevOps, and project portfolio management
  • Understanding of AI-enabled workplace technologies and automation opportunities
  • Ability to translate complex tech to non-technical audiences
  • Strong analytical, data-driven mindset and budgeting awareness
