- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate business requirements into technical strategies for compliance
- Develop automation and integration scripts using industry tools to enhance systems
- Analyse and implement enhancements for financial crime platforms (transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, market surveillance)
- Perform hands‑on development, configuration, and scripting in Python, PowerShell, Dot Net, and Power BI
- Conduct root cause analysis and design preventative controls to mitigate risks
- Serve as a technology contact during audits with evidence of controls, data extracts, and remediation support
- Provide SME on systems architecture and data flows for seamless integration across platforms
- Analyse large datasets for anomalies and maintain data integrity across surveillance systems
- Support model validation and production deployment for AI/ML based detection where applicable
- Participate in change management activities (upgrades, patches, new implementations, documentation)
- Significant experience supporting or enhancing financial crime prevention systems in regulated environments
- Experience analyzing complex banking systems with focus on financial crime or surveillance tech
- Programming experience in Python and PowerShell; experience with Dot Net and Power BI
- Data engineering background with Snowflake, advanced SQL, MongoDB, SSIS
- Knowledge of Apache Kafka and containerization/orchestration tools (Kubernetes)
- GitHub or similar for version control; familiarity with branching and release management
- Experience with Agile/Scrum, JIRA/Confluence for project tracking
- Exposure to AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) and deploying models in production
- Experience with transaction monitoring (Actimize) or sanctions screening tools (Fircosoft) would be beneficial
- Excellent communication and ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders
