Overview

In this role, you will support Visa’s Real-Time Authorization operations across multi-datacenter environments. You’ll act as the first point of contact for internal support teams, monitor systems, and drive issue resolution to protect client experiences and the Visa brand. Collaborating with L2/L3 teams, you’ll document procedures and ensure service levels are met, contributing to a 24x7x365 operation. This role offers impact at scale within a globally trusted payments platform.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor TPF and OVN authorization consoles and provide first-level response
  • Operate Visa Authorization systems across multi-datacenter environments
  • Provide precise console inputs under guidance of support teams
  • Track and resolve incidents, changes, and problem tickets to maintain service levels
  • Escalate incidents per guidelines and collaborate with L2/L3 and development teams
  • Document support procedures and ensure quality, thorough notes
  • Participate in team meetings and coordinate with System Specialist activities
  • Maintain and develop technical skills through ongoing training
  • Multi-task effectively in a fast-paced, 24x7 environment
  • Represent essential staff duties during inclement weather or disaster events
  • Gather information and communicate effectively to stakeholders
  • Follow documented procedures and manage issues through resolution or turnover
  • Office presence requirement: at least 3 days in the office, schedule to be confirmed by Hiring Manager
Key requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience or a Bachelor’s degree
  • Hands-on experience with IBM TPF or equivalent Real-Time Operating Systems
  • Experience with Linux, Kubernetes, Kafka and open-source distributed systems
  • Proficiency with Linux/Unix, MVS, VM, and related tools (e.g., SuperVision, HMC)
  • Experience with ServiceNow, CoPilot, ChatGPT, Kubernetes, Kafka, Opera, DB2, ClickHouse/Splunk or Cassandra
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and incident management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational skills; ability to prioritize
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities
  • Willingness to learn Visa proprietary tools and standard monitoring/responses for VIP issues
  • ITIL Foundation Certificate or ability to obtain within 6 months
