Associate Data Engineer

As a Data Engineer at ASOS, you will design and deliver scalable data solutions on the Microsoft Azure Data Platform to empower product teams with data-driven insights. You will work with a cross‑functional squad to implement reliable, well‑tested data systems and evolve engineering standards. The role combines hands‑on cloud data work with collaboration, code reviews, and proof‑of‑concept explorations to balance speed, quality, and long‑term sustainability. • Design and deliver data solutions on the Microsoft Azure Data Platform
• Collaborate with engineers through pairing, code reviews, and shared problem solving
• Support teams in understanding data, telemetry, and operational issues
• Experiment with new tools and approaches via PoCs focusing on performance, data modeling, and cost
• Work with Lead Data Engineers, Engineering Managers, and Solution Architects to improve engineering standards
• Build reliable, well-tested, automated data solutions using modern CI/CD tooling
• Contribute to an agile, cross-functional team and take ownership of delivery quality
• Stay curious about emerging data technologies and identify value‑adding applications
