Overview

As an Associate Data Scientist at Wheely, you will own end-to-end data-driven projects in either Pricing or Matching, applying optimisation and ML to real-world transportation problems. You join a cross-functional team of data scientists and engineers to craft models that influence pricing and matching decisions at scale. You will prototype, validate, and ship production-ready solutions, continually refining algorithms to improve outcomes. Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, designers, and product managers to solve ambiguous problems
  • Research, prototype, and ship ML and optimisation models into production
  • Continuously improve existing algorithms and identify opportunities for new ones
Key requirements
  • Master's or PhD in Operations Research, Mathematics, Management Science or closely related field with a focus on optimisation
  • Strong foundation in mathematical optimisation or mathematical programming
  • Solid knowledge of probability & statistics
  • Excellent programming skills in Python and core ML tooling (SQL, PyTorch, etc.)
