In this role you support the operation and development of Vitality’s hybrid cloud environment, helping to maintain resilient, scalable infrastructure while gaining hands-on experience across cloud tech, automation, and DevOps. You’ll work with experienced engineers on operational support, platform improvements, and migrations. The role offers scope to automate and streamline platform services and to grow knowledge in cloud operations and service design. Responsibilities
  • Support day-to-day operation and maintenance of services in the hybrid cloud
  • Execute operational tasks following established processes and standards
  • Investigate issues and contribute to troubleshooting and resolution
  • Develop tools and processes to boost efficiency and reliability
  • Assist with certificate, API gateway, and reverse proxy management
  • Support infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and technical implementations
  • Help manage and improve the DevOps toolchain and access controls
  • Identify automation opportunities through infrastructure as code
  • Contribute to design and delivery of straightforward platform services
  • Build practical knowledge of cloud operations and service design principles
Key requirements
  • Automation interest and willingness to learn
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code concepts and tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, YAML or JSON)
  • Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Strong organizational skills and task management
  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • Constructive approach to feedback and continuous improvement
  • Knowledge of AWS or GCP and exposure to Python, Java, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Bash or AWS CLI (advantageous)
  • Relevant computing degree or equivalent IT experience
