Associate Director - Digital Identity and Biometrics, Solutions Architect, Deloitte Digital

As a Solutions Architect in Digital Identity & Biometrics, you shape secure, scalable identity solutions for public sector clients and partners. You lead architectural design, collaborate across cross-functional teams, and drive adoption of identity technologies that impact citizens’ daily lives. You will explore emerging tech, guide platform selection, and ensure governance and standards compliance. • Own the architectural design, delivery, and governance of Public Sector identity services
• Collaborate with biometric experts, vendors, and in-house developers to build innovative identity solutions
• Design and implement secure, scalable architectures across UK public sector and partners
• Evaluate emerging technologies, run feasibility trials, and shape identity roadmaps
• Support procurement and selection of IDV platforms with market insights
• Manage technical risk, bias, performance, and resilience in large-scale identity projects
• Represent Deloitte in the wider biometrics community and contribute to cross-cutting innovation
• Contribute to sales opportunities and help develop practice capabilities
• Mentor and coach teams, fostering inclusive leadership and growth

• Extensive experience delivering digital identity or biometrics solutions, preferably in public sector
• Background in architecting and integrating systems such as IDV Apps, Digital Credentials, ABIS, LFR, DVS, Wallets
• Experience leading digital architecture design and implementation of secure, scalable solutions
• Cloud proficiency (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Understanding of standards for identity systems (e.g., GPG45, eIDAS) and data privacy (GDPR)
• Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration

• UK security clearance to SC level (or eligible)
