Are you ready to take a senior leadership role in one of the most dynamic sectors of engineering? We are seeking an experienced Associate Director Mechanical Engineer to join our team and lead the successful design and delivery of multiple data centre and mission-critical engineering projects

Role Overview: As Associate Director, you will provide senior technical direction, manage key client relationships, and lead multidisciplinary engineering teams. You'll ensure the highest standards of technical governance, design assurance, and quality oversight throughout all project stages, from concept to construction.

Key Responsibilities: - Lead the technical delivery of complex data centre and mission-critical projects - Manage and develop robust client relationships, acting as a senior technical representative - Oversee multidisciplinary design delivery, ensuring compliance with international standards (ASHRAE, Uptime Institute, EN 50600, etc.) - Drive commercial performance: fee proposals, resource planning, and budget management - Mentor and develop engineering teams, promoting technical excellence and best practices - Support business development through technical input on bids, frameworks, and marketing materials

Your Profile: - Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (accredited university) - 15 20 years' experience in consultancy, with a strong track record in large-scale data centre/mission-critical projects - Chartered Engineer (CEng) or equivalent - Deep expertise in Tier III/IV data centre design, resilience philosophies (N+1, 2N), and energy-efficient strategies (PUE optimisation) - Proven leadership of engineering teams and senior client relationships - Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills - Experience in international consultancy environments
