Associate Director, Microsoft Cloud Architect, Cyber Resilience and Recovery

In this senior, client‑facing role you will shape cyber resilience and recovery strategies, leading architectural work across on‑premises, hybrid and multi‑cloud environments. You’ll develop reference architectures, advise senior stakeholders, and drive delivery while expanding Deloitte’s thought leadership in resilience for financial services. You’ll mentor the team, contribute to reusable assets, and represent the firm at industry forums. This is a chance to impact critical services and regulatory compliance at scale.

• Define and embed cyber resilience and recovery reference architectures across on‑premises, hybrid and multi‑cloud environments
• Design resilient recovery capabilities (isolated environments, immutable backups, rapid restoration) meeting RTO/RPO targets
• Act as trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, translating business services into concrete resilience roadmaps
• Lead architecture workstreams on complex engagements from strategy to delivery, ensuring technical quality and risk control
• Reconcile cloud-first strategy with operational resilience, third‑party risk, data protection and regulator expectations
• Embed recovery testing and threat-led exercises to prove recoverability
• Build external eminence through thought leadership and industry representation
• Mentor architects/engineers and contribute to patterns, standards, and pipeline growth
• Support bids, proposals, and practice growth with architectural governance and risk controls

• Enterprise‑scale cloud/hybrid architecture design and delivery across major providers (Azure preferred)
• Deep expertise in cyber resilience and recovery architecture (isolated environments, air‑gapped backups, cyber recovery testing)
• Experience designing for destructive cyber events (ransomware, malware containment, BC/DR)
• Proven ability to develop and own reference architectures, patterns and target operating designs
• Experience in Financial Services or Energy/Resources/Industrials with regulatory context
• Understanding of operational resilience regulation (FCA/PRA/BoE, DORA) and third‑party risk
• Trusted advisor to senior stakeholders with ability to build business cases and articulate viewpoints
• Delivery credentials leading end‑to‑end architecture on complex engagements; client‑facing in a consulting/advisory model
• Excellent communication skills for technical and executive audiences; ability to present to architecture boards
• Cloud security and resilience‑by‑design principles (Zero Trust, PAM, secure landing zones)
• Hands‑on experience with Azure Site Recovery, Azure Backup, Microsoft Defender or equivalent
