In this role you will lead and develop a high-performing Systems Engineering team to drive technical direction across complex aerospace programmes. You will set engineering priorities, oversee requirements, architecture, integration, and verification, and advance MBSE and digital engineering. You will guide technical reviews, risk management, and bids, collaborating with customers, suppliers and programme management to enable successful outcomes. This is an onsite leadership role at Winnersh that shapes future aerospace systems and capabilities.

- Set systems engineering strategy, direction and priorities
- Oversee requirements, architecture, integration, verification and validation
- Drive Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and digital engineering practices
- Lead technical reviews, trade studies, risk management and issue resolution
- Collaborate with Programme Management, Engineering, customers and suppliers to meet objectives
- Provide senior technical input to bids, business opportunities and technology roadmaps
- Develop engineering capability through coaching, mentoring and succession planning
- Ensure compliance with aerospace, safety, quality and regulatory requirements
- Degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related STEM
- Significant experience in systems engineering within aerospace, defence or highly regulated industry
- Proven experience leading and managing multidisciplinary engineering teams and complex technical programmes
- Strong knowledge of systems architecture, requirements management, integration, verification and validation
- Demonstrated technical leadership and stakeholder-management skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain UK Security Check (SC) clearance and meet pre-employment requirements
