Overview

In this role, you will lead model-informed translational work to accelerate oligonucleotide therapeutics from discovery to clinic. You will partner with multidisciplinary teams to develop PK/PD, QSP, and PBPK/PD models that inform dose selection and development decisions. You’ll shape platform translational modeling strategies and expand adoption through internal collaboration and external partnerships. This hybrid, leadership-focused position blends scientific rigor with strategic mentorship to drive access and impact across programs.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the M&S representative on multiple programs and guide decision-making from design to first-in-human dose.
  • Build and apply mechanistic models linking pharmacology, tissue distribution, mechanism of action, and downstream effects.
  • Integrate modeling with preclinical in vivo/in vitro studies to support candidate selection and progression to clinic.
  • Develop platform disease (QSP) and PBPK/PD models spanning multiple projects and phases.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives such as platform-level translational modeling and new modeling workflows (e.g., agentic AI).
  • Promote understanding and adoption of translational modeling across partners and through external collaborations.
  • Mentor and contribute to wider platforms within M&S as an Associate Director.
Key requirements
  • Ph.D. in biology, bioengineering, pharmaceutical sciences, biophysics, or related field with 7+ years of industry experience.
