In this role you lead electrical design and delivery for data centre projects, shaping power architectures and ensuring decarbonized, high-availability outcomes. You’ll mentor multidisciplinary teams across the UK and collaborate with global colleagues to win work and drive technical excellence. - Own electrical design from feasibility to handover, including procurement support and commissioning
- Define and validate power architectures (utility intake, MV/LV, UPS, generators, switchgear, PDUs, STS, busway, earthing, lighting)
- Lead power systems studies (load flow, short circuit, protection coordination, arc-flash, harmonics) using ETAP/SKM
- Integrate monitoring and controls (BMS/EPMS/SCADA), metering, and resilience features aligned to availability targets
- Embed decarbonization and energy efficiency (high-efficiency UPS, advanced controls, heat recovery, demand response, on-site renewables)
- Ensure compliance with IEC/BS/EN, NEC/NFPA, client specs, and AECOM quality procedures
- Coordinate multi-disciplinary interfaces (mechanical, structural, architectural, fire/life safety, security, ICT) to deliver integrated designs
- Hyperscale and/or multi-site program experience
- Strong track record delivering Electrical projects for Data Centres and Mission Critical Environments
- Proven DC project leadership experience in the UK and preferably across EMEA
- Demonstrated client-facing and business development capabilities
- Excellent team leadership and development ability
- Detailed knowledge of Mechanical design as it interfaces with electrical systems in data centres
- Strong commercial acumen and project financial management experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
