In this role, you will lead electrical design and technical delivery for data centre projects, influencing strategy and quality across UK and EMEA. You’ll mentor multidisciplinary teams and collaborate with global colleagues to deliver resilient, low‑carbon power solutions. You’ll shape power architectures, protection design, and monitoring strategies to meet availability targets. The opportunity combines technical excellence with client‑facing business development in a fast-growing data centre sector. You will contribute to a mission of sustainable, high‑performance infrastructure at scale.

Responsibilities
  • Own electrical design from feasibility to handover across all project stages
  • Define power architectures and key infrastructure elements (utility intake, MV/LV distribution, UPS, generators, switchgear)
  • Lead power systems studies and protection design using ETAP/SKM
  • Integrate monitoring/controls (BMS/EPMS/SCADA) and metering for reliability
  • Embed decarbonisation and energy efficiency (high-efficiency UPS, on-site renewables, demand response)
  • Ensure compliance with IEC/BS/EN, NEC/NFPA and AECOM quality procedures
  • Coordinate multi-disciplinary interfaces to deliver integrated designs
  • Support business development and client-facing activities to drive win work
Key requirements
  • Hyperscale and/or multi-site program experience
  • Strong delivery background in Electrical projects for Data Centres and Mission Critical environments
  • Proven experience leading DC project work streams in UK and across EMEA
  • Demonstrated client-facing and work-winning capabilities
  • Excellent team leadership and development skills
  • Detailed knowledge of mechanical design interfaces with electrical systems
  • Strong commercial acumen and project financial management experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good financial understanding of projects
