Overview

In this role, you will support Global Network Operations Centre (GNOC) by monitoring and responding to network issues that affect client connectivity. You will work on incident management alongside a cross-functional team, using various technologies such as SD-WAN and cloud services to uphold service levels. The position is on-site with GO Flex and alternating UK shifts, offering exposure to cutting-edge network tools and ongoing operational challenges. You will help drive reliable connectivity for Visa clients and internal services at global scale.

Responsibilities
  • Detect, mitigate, or notify and escalate network issues; manage network, hardware, and external client/circuit events
  • Communicate effectively during the incident management process with timely, accurate updates
  • Follow documented support procedures to resolve issues or hand off between shifts to maintain service levels
  • Track, update, and resolve incident/change/problem tickets with thorough documentation
  • Use sound judgment to prioritize incidents and coordinate with internal groups to protect business and SLAs
  • Escalate to appropriate support groups based on criticality and exposure
  • Maintain working knowledge of Visa-proprietary and industry-standard monitoring tools
  • Work on-site with alternating shifts (07:00–18:00 UK Time) under the GO Flex model
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree, OR 3+ years of relevant work experience
  • 2+ years of work experience for Associate level
  • Good analytical mindset and attention to detail
  • Basic understanding of routers/switches/firewalls/load balancers and cloud technology
  • Basic knowledge of Cisco and Juniper devices with hands-on login experience
  • Basic knowledge of ServiceNow or similar incident/change management system
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize a changing workload
  • Preferred: Cisco CCNA, Juniper JNCIA, AWS, ITIL certification
  • Desirable: Network automation experience (Python/Ansible)
  • Desirable: Prior Network Operations experience
