Associate, Private Wealth Rotational Program

  • Develop and build skills to manage and grow a client portfolio
  • Provide dedicated relationship management, complex financial services support, and exceptional client service
  • Deliver CIBC Private Wealth Management and Wood Gundy services
  • Take responsibility for a portfolio and help clients achieve their ambitions
  • Engage proactively with new and existing clients
  • Provide comprehensive financial advice
  • Complete a twelve-month Private Wealth rotational program beginning June 2027
  • Gain experience through rotations in Private Banking, Wood Gundy, and Private Wealth Head Office based on business needs
  • Build financial plans for new and existing clients
  • Develop advisor capability through supported learning with Private Wealth Management Leaders and Specialists
  • Deliver trusted investment advice and comprehensive financial planning support
  • Cultivate networks and establish new client relationships
  • Understand the local market and potential client base to create sales plans
  • Leverage credit and investment solutions using a needs-based approach
  • Attend local events and participate in marketing and outreach activities
  • Partner with Financial Planning Consultants, Business Advisors, Investment Advisors, Commercial Bankers, and Private Wealth Managers
  • Focus on retirement, investment, credit, trust, estate, and wealth-protection planning
  • Join a CIBC Wealth Management team upon program completion

Requirements

  • Recent graduate (May 2026-May 2027) or final-year post-secondary student pursuing a degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related fields, with expected graduation in Spring 2027
  • Resume no more than 2 pages, cover letter no more than 1 page, and transcripts uploaded as one document
  • Proven record of academic success, teamwork, and extracurricular involvement
  • Successful completion of required CIRO licensing within six months of start date
  • Keen interest in pursuing a career in the financial services industry
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing demands in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to contribute to high-performance teams
  • Demonstrated commitment to acting with integrity
  • Highly effective written, oral, and presentation skills
  • Ability to explain complex concepts
  • Legally eligible to work at the specified location(s)
  • Valid work or study permit where applicable
