Associate / Senior Associate - Private Wealth

In Exeter, join a growing Private Wealth team to advise individuals, companies and trusts on Wills, trusts, probate and tax planning. You will work on international residence and domicile considerations, estate protection, and Court of Protection matters, while developing junior staff and contributing to marketing and compliance efforts. This role offers a path to leadership within a supportive, training‑focused firm culture and exposure to cross‑border private wealth matters. You shape client outcomes through practical, technical expertise and collaborative teamwork.

• Advise on estate and asset protection planning
• Draft tax‑efficient wills and wills with trusts
• Create and advise on onshore trusts
• Probate planning and estate administration
• Powers of attorney and Court of Protection matters
• Supervise and develop junior legal staff
• Participate in marketing initiatives
• Ensure file management and Lexcel compliance
• Attend firm‑wide and departmental training sessions

• Qualified solicitor with at least 6 years PQE in private client work
• Proven ability to manage files and take on responsibility
• Strong technical skills and an innovative approach
• Client management experience and understanding of financial disciplines for fee earning
• Commercial awareness and effective communication skills
• Drive, flexibility, and teamwork
• Interest in marketing and business development
• Solid academic record
• STEP member or working towards STEP (strongly desired)
