Overview

As an Associate Systems Engineer you will support the development of bespoke systems for UK Defence Test, Trials, Training and Evaluation. You will work within a multidisciplinary team, delivering system artefacts across the project lifecycle and growing expertise with senior guidance. The role combines technical development with collaboration across engineering communities, preparing you for professional systems engineering accreditation. This is a hands-on opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge defence technology and build your career in a high-impact environment. Responsibilities
  • Participate in the technical system V-cycle: requirements, solution development, installation planning, testing and verification, certifications and acceptances
  • Deliver own tasks on time, cost and quality with support from Project Managers and Senior Engineers
  • Collaborate across teams, acting as a technical point of contact for projects
  • Develop knowledge of specific systems, solutions and technologies
  • Produce systems engineering artefacts across the project lifecycle with senior support as needed
Key requirements
  • Aptitude for professional systems engineering skills aligned with INCOSE competencies
  • Track record delivering a project from start to finish
  • Appreciation of systems engineering activities in engineering project delivery
  • Experience with structured engineering processes (requirements, integration and test planning)
  • Ability to deliver technical project reports timely and coherently
  • Experience facilitating meetings or workshops and reporting technical outcomes
  • Collaborative teamwork
