Associate, Toronto Repo Financing Services

JOB DESCRIPTION

Location: Hybrid (Downtown, Toronto)

Duration: 12 months

Our client, a leading financial institution in Downtown Toronto, is looking for an Associate, Toronto Repo Financing Services to ensure all Tri-Party trades are booked, matched, funded, and allocated across BONY, JPM, and CCMS for both US and CAD currencies. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with one of the Top 5 Banks in Canada.

Typical Day in role:

• Perform daily Triparty allocation
• Provide start-of-day collateral positions to the Front Office
• Ensure timely processing of daily GCF transactions
• Monitor Net Free Equity and Liquidity
• Provide daily cash projections & perform daily collateral analysis
• Research and address any overnight Triparty cash & position breaks
• Prepare daily management reports
• Ensure proper EOD funding
• Coordinate within the team to accomplish required goals
• Help to improve or enhance existing procedures and processing
• Address and confirm any incoming Triparty Audit Requests

Must-Have Skills:

• 5 to 10 years of Fixed Income experience in Operations/Settlements
• Experience using Microsoft Excel & Word
• Solid experience using ADP/BPS, APEX & ICI processing systems
• Knowledge of settlements via BONY, DTC & GSCC
• Experience using Bony Access Edge, JPM Markets and CCMS

Nice-To-Have Skills:

• Experience running projects and coordinating with different groups
• Experience documenting and updating standing procedures

Soft Skills Required:

• Detail oriented/organized and results-driven
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills

Education:

• Highest level of education in a related field
