Associate/Senior Associate, Systems Engineer

As a Systems Engineer at Ares, you will own end-to-end delivery of core services that support the firm’s investment process, focusing on asset management systems. You’ll work across cross-functional teams to scale the business, build reference data, trade and position management, and compliance tooling, with integration to external parties. Your role blends software development with production support in a tech-driven, finance-focused environment. This is a hands-on opportunity to shape the firm’s Systematic Credit platform and contribute to a culture of collaboration and innovation.

• Own end-to-end system deliveries to scale the firm across multiple business lines
• Build core services for the Ares Systematic Credit investment process (reference data, trade management, position management, compliance)
• Integrate core services with external counterparts (middle office, fund administrators)
• Collaborate with Portfolio Management, Operations, Compliance and internal engineering teams
• Contribute to the Systematic Credit toolkit (source control, CI/CD, test infra, packaging, deployment)
• Build common libraries and infrastructure to support activities
• Review and test code and systems per the development process
• Provide production support for systems
