About the Role

Join a California legal practice advising homeowner associations on governance, real estate, and dispute matters. This role combines litigation and transactional work, with responsibility for delivering responsive, practical counsel to clients across the state.
What Youll Do
Advise condominium, townhouse, stock cooperative, and planned development HOA boards and community managers.
Handle civil litigation involving real estate disputes, construction defects, creditor-side bankruptcy, and judgment collections.
Draft and review governance documents, board resolutions, corporate records, and real estate documents.
Provide guidance on Davis-Stirling Act compliance, CC&R interpretation, and community association governance.
Manage an independent caseload and respond to client inquiries within 24 hours.
Contribute to marketing through articles and presentations at industry events.
What Were Looking For
Three to seven years of concentrated litigation and/or transactional legal experience, including civil litigation work such as motions, discovery, or trial preparation.
Juris Doctor degree, active California State Bar membership, and authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
Background in corporate governance or real estate law, with strong legal writing and client communication skills.
Ability to work independently, respond constructively to feedback, and meet an annual target of 1,800 billable hours.
Comfort using legal research platforms such as Westlaw or LexisNexis, Microsoft Office, and legal case management software.
HOA or community association law, Davis-Stirling Act, CC&R, creditor-side bankruptcy, collections, or construction defect experience is a plus.
Experience writing for publication or speaking at professional events is also valued.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary is $155,000 to $195,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Location
Fully remote, with a primary location in Los Angeles, California. Candidates should be located in or near Southern California.
