Audio Visual Engineer - HNW Residential

My client, one of the UK's leading HNW AV specialists, are seeking an experienced AV Engineer to join a high-end residential technology integration team, delivering premium audio visual, networking, security and home cinema projects to the UK's ultra prime residential property market.

This is a role where you will oversee installations on-site, mentor junior engineers, liaise with project managers and clients, and ensure projects are delivered to exceptional standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate engineers and subcontractors on-site.
• Deliver high-quality installation of AV, networking, home cinema, lighting control, CCTV, access control and automation systems.
• Build and wire equipment racks, terminate cabling, and commission systems.
• Interpret technical drawings and schematics to guide installations.
• Work closely with project management teams to ensure projects remain on schedule.
• Mentor junior engineers and maintain high standards of workmanship and site safety.
• Support troubleshooting, testing and commissioning activities.

Skills & Experience Required

• Strong background in residential Audio Visual and smart home installations.
• Experience with rack building, structured cabling and system commissioning.
• Solid understanding of networking, VLANs, IP configuration and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of lighting control, automation and home cinema systems.
• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Previous experience leading engineers and managing site activities.
