Overview

In this role you will design, develop and deliver automated test solutions for client projects, helping ensure high-quality software across public and private sector engagements. You will work within the Quality Engineering team, collaborating closely with cross-functional colleagues and clients to drive testing best practices. The role supports scalable testing and reliable delivery, with remote work options and travel to client sites, primarily London. You will shape testing frameworks and contribute to a culture of quality and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee end-to-end automation test development, implementation and maintenance
  • Verify usability, functionality, performance and scalability of applications
  • Build automation tools and extend frameworks for team needs
  • Establish processes for automation and performance monitoring
  • Contribute to Quality Engineering and client teams by promoting testing best practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address automation challenges and resolve performance test failures
Key requirements
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities
  • In-depth understanding of QA processes and SDLC
  • Hands-on experience building test automation frameworks from scratch
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and Java (3+ years)
  • API testing experience (RestAssured or SoapUI)
  • Experience with Contract Testing (PACT)
  • CI/CD pipeline configuration familiarity (Jenkins, GitLab CI)
  • Experience in testing across microservices and containerised environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Jira and Confluence usage for test management in Agile/Scrum
  • Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
