Overview

In this role you will lead the design, adoption, and ongoing evolution of scalable test automation for Aristocrat’s products. You will partner with QA, Dev, and leadership to align automation with business goals and CI/CD practices, leveraging AI-assisted tooling where relevant. You’ll mentor engineers, drive automation standards, and communicate strategies across hybrid mobile, web, API, and microservices platforms. This is a hands-on leadership role with a focus on quality at scale and impactful, cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of scalable test automation frameworks
  • Support the Test Automation Manager in defining roadmaps for automation projects
  • Evaluate and optimize test tooling, including AI-assisted solutions, for CI/CD
  • Collaborate with QA, leadership, and development to align automation with processes
  • Mentor a team of test automation engineers across mobile, web, API, and microservices
  • Ensure automation guidelines are followed and drive improvements
  • Drive continuous improvement in automation architecture, tooling, and coding standards
  • Perform code and build reviews and promote knowledge sharing
  • Produce documentation and diagrams communicating automation strategies
  • Manage automation infrastructure (on-prem, cloud, third-party tools)
  • Lead knowledge-sharing through workshops, presentations, demos
  • Stay current with emerging automation technologies and industry trends
Key requirements
  • Experience crafting and integrating test automation frameworks with tools like Selenium, Appium, TestRail, and API automation solutions
  • Proven track record leading complex, multi-team testing in fast-paced agile environments
  • Solid experience integrating automation into cloud-based CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
  • Familiarity with database or microservices testing
  • Experience with AI/ML technologies in projects
  • Programming/scripting proficiency in Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, or similar
  • Technical leadership experience guiding and elevating team skills
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical area or equivalent practical experience
  • Willingness to travel to offshore teams (~5 days/year)
