The Automation Developer will design, build, test, deploy, and support end-to-end automations that improve efficiency, quality, control, and customer experience across Operations and related Business Services teams.
In this role, you will work closely with stakeholders to deliver automation solutions using AI capabilities, robotic process automation (RPA), workflow and orchestration tools, and Microsoft Power Platform technologies, including UiPath, n8n, Power Automate, and Power Apps. You will contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation while supporting business objectives.
As an Automation Developer, you will apply AI-assisted development approaches, including prompt-driven prototyping and iterative refinement, to accelerate solution delivery while maintaining strong governance, testing, and documentation standards. You will support the delivery of scalable, sustainable automation solutions that drive business value and enhance the user experience.
Main responsibilities:
Automation delivery: Design, develop, deploy, and support end-to-end automation solutions, managing delivery from initial discovery through to implementation and ongoing support
Solution development: Build and maintain automation solutions using AI tools, UiPath, n8n, and Microsoft Power Platform technologies, selecting the most appropriate approach for each business requirement
Process automation: Leverage Microsoft Power Platform capabilities, including Power Automate, Power Apps, and system connectors, to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance the user experience
AI-assisted development: Apply AI-assisted programming techniques, including prompt-driven prototyping and rapid experimentation, while ensuring solutions are strengthened through testing, code reviews, and comprehensive documentation
Testing and release management: Support testing activities, release preparation, user acceptance testing (UAT) planning, and defect triage to ensure successful solution delivery
Performance monitoring: Monitor automation performance, resolve incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventative improvements, including enhanced logging, alerting, retry mechanisms, and exception handling
Documentation and governance: Maintain solution documentation, including designs, runbooks, standard operating procedures, and release notes, while ensuring compliance with governance, risk, security, and audit requirements
Continuous improvement and engagement: Drive engagement activities within the center, supporting employees in delivering self-led process improvement initiatives through the application of Lean Six Sigma, AI, automation, and related tools and resources
Skills and experience:
- Hands-on experience with UiPath and/or n8n, and willingness to build across both.
- Comfort with AI-assisted development using prompts to accelerate prototyping and solution scaffolding, while validating outputs and applying engineering discipline
- Strong process analysis and problem-solving skills, including exception handling and control design
- Ability to document solutions clearly (solution design, runbooks) and communicate with non-technical stakeholders
