Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Automation Test Engineer with Python to develop automation frameworks, tooling, and integrations for large-scale infrastructure environments. The ideal candidate will have strong Python and API automation skills, hands-on experience with NetBox or equivalent DCIM/IPAM platforms , and practical knowledge of Linux, networking, data center hardware, and CI/CD.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automation tools and frameworks using Python .
- Build integrations with various API endpoints and protocols .
- Design and implement reliable automation solutions for large-scale software and hardware environments.
- Work with NetBox or equivalent DCIM/IPAM systems , including data modeling and API integration.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines , preferably using Jenkins.
- Use Bash and Linux for automation, troubleshooting, and system administration tasks.
- Model and manage data center infrastructure, including servers, switches, structured cabling, cross-connects, and power distribution.
- Support automation across the complete system lifecycle and take ownership of solutions end to end.
- Collaborate with remote execution partners across different time zones.
- Research new technologies, investigate issues, and proactively propose effective solutions.
- Ensure automation solutions align with infrastructure, operational, and change-management requirements.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on Python development experience for automation and tooling.
- Experience working with REST APIs, API endpoints, and integration protocols .
- Hands-on experience with NetBox or equivalent DCIM/IPAM platforms .
- Knowledge of data modeling and API integration.
- Experience with Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines .
- Working knowledge of Linux and Bash scripting .
- Practical understanding of data center hardware and networking equipment.
- Understanding of large-scale software and hardware system design principles.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and own systems end to end.
Nice to Have
- Experience in colocation or multi-site data center environments .
- Exposure to latency-sensitive infrastructure.
- Experience with Ansible or Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience with hardware lifecycle, asset management, or procurement workflows.
- Experience working in regulated environments with formal change management, audit, and Disaster Recovery requirements.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across geographically distributed teams.
