AV Solutions Architect

Overview
Join Presidio as an AV Solutions Architect in the UK to lead technically robust audio-visual system designs that meet client needs. You will work with sales and CAD teams to develop pre-sales proposals, BoMs, and detailed drawings, while ensuring seamless integration with project management and other trades. You’ll maintain product knowledge, evaluate new technologies, and provide post-sales support to ensure successful deployment. This role offers the chance to influence how clients experience AV solutions across diverse environments and stay at the forefront of industry innovations.
Responsibilities
- Provide pre-sales technical support and design AV systems that meet client requirements
- Develop proposals and BoMs to ensure correct product selection and quantities
- Coordinate with CAD to produce GA, MEs, elevations, schematics and rack layouts
- Coordinate with Project Management to ensure design intents are met and integrated
- Engage with other trades for smooth system integration and manage RFIs/CRs
- Maintain logs and distribute information to relevant parties
- Offer post-sales support and assist with troubleshooting during service calls
- Liaise with manufacturers/distributors to select best-fit products and deepen product knowledge
- Attend training sessions and explore new products/technologies to meet current and future needs
Key requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Audio Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years in the commercial AV industry with system design/commissioning experience
- Thorough knowledge of AV products and systems, including Audio, Video, Control, and IT
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to translate technical concepts for customers

- AutoCAD drawing experience
- Experience with audio/video interfaces, standards and AVoIP technology
