Role: AWS Architect

Location: Halifax, NS (Hybrid)

Key Responsibilities

• AWS Architecture — Design, deploy, and optimize scalable cloud solutions using EC2, Lambda, SSM, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, and related services.
• Infrastructure Automation — Build and maintain IaC using Terraform with reusable modules, state management, and CI/CD integration.
• Configuration & Systems Management — Implement automated patching, configuration, and remote management using AWS SSM.
• Version Control — Manage code repositories, branching strategies, and release workflows using Git.
• OS Administration — Perform system administration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting across Windows and Unix platforms.
• Security & Compliance — Implement cloud security controls, network segmentation, encryption, and compliance standards.
• Monitoring & Optimization — Set up observability dashboards, alerts, and performance tuning for cloud workloads.
• Stakeholder Collaboration — Work closely with architecture, DevOps, and delivery teams to ensure smooth deployments and operational excellence.

Compensation:

We are offering between $110,000 – $120,000. Applications will be accepted until Sep 30, 2026.Cognizant will only consider applicants for this position who are legally authorized to work in Canada without requiring employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
