Overview

As an AWS Cloud Architect in Version 1’s AWS Practice, you design and implement large-scale cloud solutions on AWS, guiding projects from concept to enterprise-ready architectures. You’ll collaborate with business leads and product owners to define patterns, automate deployments, and ensure security and cost efficiency. The role blends hands-on architecture with leadership, mentoring, and thought leadership on AI/ML workloads and cloud strategies. You’ll work with top European customers and continuously grow through certifications and training.

Responsibilities
  • Architect and implement cloud solutions on AWS for varied applications
  • Automate cloud operations and deployments
  • Develop and implement cloud application patterns and migration of workloads to the cloud
  • Collaborate with business leads and product owners to define requirements and architectural patterns
  • Monitor compliance with guardrails and best practices on cloud resources
  • Research and propose AWS data transformation, integration, and operational frameworks
  • Collaborate with lead architects to create templates and build/operational artefacts
  • Work with DevOps/engineering teams to deliver solutions
  • Contribute to proposals leveraging technical skills and provide thought leadership
Key requirements
  • Experience as an AWS Architect
  • Knowledge of the AWS Well-Architected Framework
  • Linux (RHEL, Centos) and Bash
  • Understanding of DevOps and DevSecOps methodologies
  • At least one software development language (Python, NodeJS, Java, .Net)
  • AWS certifications (Associate and Professional) - preferred
  • Security experience - preferred
  • Hands-on background in software development - preferred
  • Interest in mentoring and developing others - preferred
  • Excellent stakeholder skills
  • Strong technical communication
  • Mentoring and coaching
  • AWS services focus for AI/ML (SageMaker, Batch, Step Functions, EKS/ECS)
  • Data lake components and data transformation
  • Architectural patterns for AI/ML (data pipelines, training, inference, monitoring, MLOps)
