AWS Cloud Engineer

In this AWS Engineer role, you will support and secure AWS-based platforms for a fintech client building an e-factoring platform and CRM from scratch. You join a collaborative Platform and Infrastructure team that ensures cloud environments are well-designed, reliable, and cost-efficient. You’ll partner with internal teams to advise on architecture, monitoring, security, and incident response, helping scale a mission-critical cloud estate. This is a hands-on, highly technical opportunity in a fast-paced, open culture with real impact on product delivery and security.

• Ensure day-to-day effectiveness and security of AWS-hosted platforms
• Guide technical projects with knowledge transfer to internal support teams
• Provide subject matter expert advice to development and support teams
• Identify opportunities to reduce cost, complexity and instability in cloud infrastructure
• Ensure cloud systems are monitored, secure, and available
• Design and enforce security into core IT technologies
• Comply with change control and release management policies
• Support major incident and problem management to identify root causes and mitigations
• Provide out-of-hours support as part of on-call service

• Operational support and design experience for AWS hosted IaaS/SaaS platforms and services
• Automation experience with CloudFormation and Ansible (or similar)
• System administration experience for Linux and Microsoft technologies (patching, security, monitoring)
• CI/CD pipeline management familiarity
• Knowledge of networking, protocols, and security
• Experience with web-delivered application topologies including IIS
• Knowledge of IT Operations processes and cloud service delivery tools
• Experience with infrastructure and service monitoring solutions (open-source, ideally Zabbix)
