Overview
In this role you will design, operate and secure AWS-based platforms for a fintech client launching an e-factoring platform and CRM from scratch. You will work within a tight Platform and Infrastructure team to ensure scalable, reliable cloud services. You’ll optimize costs, implement secure designs, and support incident resolution with on-call readiness. The environment emphasizes a fast, high-performance tech culture with a relaxed, open atmosphere. This is a chance to shape critical cloud infrastructure on a brand-new project with significant impact.

- Office 1 day per week in Central London
- Maintain day-to-day effectiveness and security of AWS-hosted platforms
- Support technical projects and transfer knowledge to internal teams
- Provide SME guidance to support and development teams
- Identify opportunities to reduce cost, complexity and instability in cloud infra
- Ensure cloud systems are monitored, secure and available
- Design and implement security across core IT technologies
- Comply with change control and release management processes
- Support major incident and problem management to identify root causes and mitigations
- Provide out-of-hours support as part of on-call service
- Operational support and design of AWS IaaS/SaaS platforms
- Automation experience with CloudFormation and Ansible (or equivalent)
- Linux and Microsoft system administration including patching, security and monitoring
- Understanding of CI/CD pipeline management
- Knowledge of networking, security and related protocols
- Experience with web app topologies including IIS
- IT Operations processes for cloud delivery
- Experience with infrastructure and service monitoring solutions (open source, e.g., Zabbix)
