Overview
In this role you will design, build and monitor large-scale batch and streaming data pipelines in an AWS cloud environment to support real-time data needs. You will work within an agile, tech-driven environment focused on scaling a leading fintech SaaS product for wealth management. The position offers a highly technical, low-drama culture with a strong emphasis on modern data engineering practices. You will help shape data architecture and enable data-driven decision making across the business. This is a remote role with occasional travel to the London office and a strong opportunity to impact international growth.
Responsibilities- Design, build, monitor and manage large-scale batch and streaming data pipelines in AWS
- Data analysis and reporting support
- Reverse engineer existing SQL scripts to understand and improve data flows
- Data modelling and schema design
- Experience building complex data pipelines/ETL/ELT scripts
- Extensive experience with SQL
- Experience with Data Warehouse databases like Snowflake/Redshift/BigQuery
- Experience with Python
- Knowledge of AWS components such as S3, Kinesis, DMS, SNS, Glue, Athena, RDS
- Experience with implementing REST APIs
- BI knowledge/experience
- Knowledge of tools Terraform, Airflow, DBT and Harness
