AWS Solution Architect

In this Senior Manager role, you shape enterprise cloud strategy and lead major transformations for clients using AWS. You will translate business goals into secure, scalable cloud architectures and mentor teams to build architectural capability. You’ll engage executives to align strategies with governance and compliance, driving large-scale migrations and modernisation. • Define enterprise cloud strategies, governance models and AWS architecture standards
• Translate business objectives into scalable, secure, cost-efficient cloud designs
• Lead cloud transformation programmes including data-centre exits, migrations and legacy modernisation
• Design cloud-native apps using serverless, containers and microservices
• Shape data, analytics and AI/ML architectures
• Design secure IAM, encryption, and identity solutions
• Develop APIs, event-driven architectures and hybrid connectivity
• Ensure availability, scalability, resilience, performance and observability
• Define disaster-recovery and operational standards
• Establish cloud security, compliance and cost controls
• Present strategies to executive boards and governance forums
• Mentor managers and consultants to grow the team’s capability
• Support business development and contribute to client propositions

• Significant hands-on experience designing and implementing AWS solutions
• Experience defining cloud strategy and enterprise architecture standards
• Delivery of large-scale cloud migration or modernisation programmes
• Strong knowledge of cloud-native application architecture
• Experience with serverless, containers and microservices
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Knowledge of cloud data platforms, analytics and AI/ML solutions
• Deep understanding of IAM, encryption, cloud security and compliance
• Experience designing APIs, integrations and event-driven solutions
• Knowledge of highly available, fault-tolerant and scalable architectures
• Experience with disaster recovery, monitoring, performance and observability
• Strong executive stakeholder-management and presentation skills
