AWS Solution Architect

We are seeking an experienced AWS Solution Architect to join a leading global technology and professional services organisation, supporting major clients with complex cloud transformation and modernisation programmes.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for an AWS specialist who can combine deep technical expertise with cloud strategy, architecture, governance and client leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Define AWS cloud strategies, governance models and enterprise architecture standards.
• Design and deliver secure, scalable cloud solutions across complex transformation programmes.
• Lead large-scale initiatives including data centre exits, legacy modernisation and cloud migration.
• Drive innovation across data, AI, security and multi-cloud.
• Design modern application architectures using serverless, containers and microservices.
• Develop integration, API and event-driven architectures.
• Ensure solutions meet requirements for security, resilience, performance, availability and disaster recovery.
• Engage senior stakeholders and present strategies and architectures to executive audiences.
• Mentor managers and consultants, developing technical and leadership capability.
• Support cloud governance, compliance, cost optimisation and operational best practice.

Experience You'll Need

• Significant hands-on experience designing and implementing AWS solutions.
• AWS Professional or Associate certification, ideally Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer.
• Strong knowledge across cloud, application, data, AI, security and integration architecture.
• Experience with CI/CD, DevOps and modern cloud-native technologies.
• Strong understanding of IAM, encryption, compliance and cloud security.
• Experience designing highly available, fault-tolerant and scalable environments.
• Strong stakeholder management and client-facing experience at senior level.
• Experience with Azure or Google Cloud would be advantageous.
• Ability to meet BPSS and SC security clearance requirements, including 5 years' continuous UK address history at application.
